Deadly Accident at Gravel Pit in La Joya, Texas

There was a deadly accident at a gravel pit in La Joya, Texas on January 2, 2024.  According to reports, a truck driver was attempting to unload a trailer of gravel at the pit.  As this occurred, the truck fell into the gravel pit, causing the cab to be crushed.  The driver of the truck was killed as a result.  The victim has been identified as Luis Rivera, Jr. of Mission, Texas.
