Sightseeing Plane Crashes in Alaska – 6 Killed

Six people were killed when a sightseeing plane crashed in Alaska on August 5, 2021.  The plane, a da Havilland Beaver, crashed in the Misty Fjords area of southeast Alaska.  There were six people on board the plane at the time of the crash.  The plane is owned by Southeast Aviation LLC.  Reports indicate the five passengers were on a Holland America cruise and were on the sightseeing excursion.  Our thoughts and prayers go out to those impacted by this deadly accident.

There have been a number of recent plane crashes in 2021.  A Cessna 206 plane crashed in Katmai National Park and Preserve, Alaska on July 31, 2021. There was a small plane crash in Hartford, Wisconsin on July 31, 2021.  There was a small plane crash in Lexington, Kentucky on July 28, 2021.  A Cessna 150 crashed in Whiteside County, Illinois on July 23, 2021.  There was a small plane crash in Harrah, Oklahoma on July 23, 2021.  A Beechcraft Bonanza plane crashed in Napa County, California on July 16, 2021.  On July 14, 2021, a Piper PA-28-180 crashed in Iowa, killing two.
