There was a boating accident near Point Au Fer Island, Louisiana, on July 13, 2023. A 35 foot fishing boat took on water before capsizing on Thursday night. Two men on board were able to be rescued by a Coast Guard Helicopter. It is unclear if anyone sustained injuries in the incident. The accident remains under investigation.
