Fishing Boat CAROL ANN Missing off Coast of Georgia

The fishing boat CAROL ANN went missing off the coast of Georgia.  The 31-foot fishing boat went missing with three people on board.  The vessel was believed to have been roughly 80 miles off the coast of Brunswick, Georgia at the time.  The fishing boat was supposed to return to shore on October 18, 2023, but failed to do so.   The Coast Guard is searching for the vessel at this time.  Additional details have not yet been released.

There have been a number of recent incidents involving vessels.  On September 27, 2023, three men were ejected from a boat in Biscayne Bay.  A fire broke out on the container ship OOCL SHANGHAI on October 1, 2023.  A fire broke out on the container ship LUNA MAERSK on October 2, 2023.  There was a deadly boating collision in Havre de Grace, Maryland on October 2, 2023.  The tug boat BONNIE G was grounded on October 4, 2023.  A small boat capsized off the coast of New Jersey on October 7, 2023.  There was a fire on board the general cargo ship ANN ROUSING on October 13, 2023.  There was a deadly tugboat accident in Daphne, Alabama on October 14, 2023.
